PubMed Reports - iRefWeb - Wodak Lab

PubMed reports provides a way to see which interactions were noted across different source databases for each PubMed ID. This comparison can help to show to what extent the different databases may or may not differ in their interpretation of the same publication (read more about these differences here). There are two ways to generate a PubMed report:

1. PubMed ID Targeted Query:

To search on specific PubMed ID(s) enter the desired ID(s) in the text input field. For example: 7535773, 7785324

2. DB Targeted Query

For a comprehensive report on all PubMed IDs either select a single "target" database or "all databases". If no target database is selected–that is the option is left to its default value of "all databases"–then records for every PubMed ID will be shown for every database. However, when a specific database is selected it is compared against all other databases but only when the target database appears to have be in disagreement with one or more other databases. If the target saw no interactions in a PubMed ID it is assumed that it did not annotate that PubMed ID and is skipped. The idea is that when a particular database is targeted one is only interested in how it differs from other databases.
